Important solutions to have on hand and carpet spot cleaning tips. 1) Detergent solution - 1 tsp neutral detergent, such as Woolite , in 1/4 litre warm water. 2) Detergent/Vinegar Solution - Add 1 tsp White Vinegar to the Detergent Solution. 3) Ammonia solution - 1 tsp of household ammonia to 1 cup warm water. 4) Dry cleaning solvent - caution, read label Important Tips: Always first scrap or blot up excess substance. Always test solutions on a small out-of-the-way area for colour fastness. Always work from the outer edge towards the centre of stain and blot frequently with dry white cloth & blot dry.
