Carpet & Flooring Installation

A great floor is only as good as its installation. The right product installed poorly will fail years early; a sensible product installed correctly performs beautifully for decades. At Alexanian, we install everything we sell, so the flooring you choose and the installation that brings it to life are handled by one accountable team, trained on your exact product, and standing behind the result.
Installation Comes With Your Purchase
We do not install flooring we did not sell, and we do not sell flooring we will not install. Installation is part of your purchase, coordinated by your consultant from the moment you choose your product. This is not a limitation, it is what protects you. When one company both supplies and installs your floor, there is a single point of accountability, no gap for problems to fall through, and your manufacturer and installation warranties stay fully intact.
What We Install
Our installers are trained on every product category we carry:
- Hardwood flooring installation
- Engineered hardwood installation
- Laminate flooring installation
- Luxury vinyl and hybrid resilient installation
- Tile installation
- Carpet installation
- Window coverings installation
Whatever you choose in our showrooms, our team installs it, including the subfloor work, moisture management, and finishing that each material requires.
What Is Included
Your installation is handled end to end. It starts with accurate measuring and an itemized quote so you know exactly what the project costs: product, labour, preparation, transitions, and removal of your old flooring. From there our team handles subfloor preparation, the installation itself, the finishing details such as transitions, trims, and thresholds, and cleanup.
We also remove and dispose of your old flooring as part of the project, so you are not left arranging that yourself.
Manufacturer-Certified Installers and Warranty Protection
Our installers are experienced professionals, and where products require it, manufacturer-certified for the specific flooring you have chosen. Certified installation matters because many manufacturer warranties depend on it. An improper install can void coverage even when the product itself is fine. Because we sell and install together, your certification and warranty chain is never broken, and there is one team responsible for the outcome.
What to Expect During Installation
Every project follows a clear path: a pre-installation assessment where we measure, check the subfloor, and confirm materials; preparation of the space and subfloor; the installation itself, on a timeline we set with you up front; and a final walk-through before the project closes. Installation times vary with square footage, product type, and the condition of the subfloor, so ask your consultant for a timeline when you book. Our carpet installation guide walks through each stage in detail.
How to Prepare Your Home
A little preparation makes installation day faster and protects your belongings:
- Move furniture to another room or into storage. We can help you move furniture if you need us to, so ask your consultant when you book.
- Empty closets and storage spaces in the rooms being done. Clear floors let installers work continuously.
- Remove electronics and valuables from the area.
- Disconnect appliances. Where there are gas or electrical appliances in the room, arrange with the provider to disconnect them safely beforehand.
- Check your door clearances. Tile and hardwood often raise the floor level, so interior doors may need trimming to swing freely afterward.
- Set the room temperature. Some products need to acclimatise to the room before installation, and temperature affects how they lay. Your consultant will tell you what your specific product needs.
Why Professional Installation Matters
Installation quality affects a floor’s lifespan more than almost any other factor. Proper subfloor preparation, correct expansion gaps, careful seam placement, and the right setting methods are the difference between a floor that performs for decades and one that develops problems within a few years. It is also the area where cutting costs is most expensive in the long run.
